Press Release: Finalists Announced

The Blackstone Millville School Committee is  happy to share with you the finalist for our Superintendent  search. A preliminary screening committee was appointed on Dec 14 by the BMRDSC after working together to compile a timeline and a candidate profile. Applications were accepted through Jan 3, 2018. Interviews were held various evening throughout January and on January 25, 2018 the screening committee brought forward the following names to the school committee. The School committee announced at the Feb 1, 2018 public meeting 

The forwarded applicants are as follows (in alphabetical order):


Dr. Jason DeFalco

Dr. Richard Drolet

Mr. Kevin McNamara


Dr. Jason DeFalco is currently the Deputy Superintendent of Schools for the New Bedford Public School system and holds a Doctorate of Education Degree from Johnson and Wales University.  Dr. DeFalco was previously a lead teacher in grades 3-5.


Dr. Richard Drolet is currently the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment and Accountability for the Uxbridge Public School system.  He holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Johnson and Wales University.  Dr. Drolet has experience as both an elementary and middle school teacher.


Mr. Kevin McNamara is currently the Principal of Lincoln High School.  He holds a Master’s of Education from Providence College.  Mr. McNamara has experience as a high school English teacher.
