Menus:

We continuously work to improve the quality and nutrition standards of the foods we serve. School meals offer students milk, fruits and vegetables, proteins and grains, and they must meet strict limits on saturated fat and portion size. We are fully compliant with the new healthier US regulations. They include:

  • Age-appropriate calorie limits
  • Larger servings of vegetables and fruits (students must take at least one serving of produce)
  • A wider variety of vegetables, including dark green and red/orange vegetables and legumes
  • Fat-free or 1% milk (flavored milk must be fat-free)
  • More whole grains and less sodium
  • Less sodium

Nutrislice:

We are proud to offer our menus using Nutrislice, it is a web based application that shows parents the nutrient and allergy information for every menu item we produce. It is on the parent web page and also available as an app for both ios & adroid smart phones. Please check it out.

School Nutrition Web Page:

Under the parent tab on the district web page you will find information relating to our Wellness Policy, Guide to Healthy Celebrations, charging policy and a copy of the free and reduced meal application.

Free and Reduced Meal Applications:

We encourage all parents/guardians to fill out this form so the district can assess whether you are eligible for this program. It is imperative that these forms be returned as soon as possible so your child/children can benefit from this service. It is important to make you aware that the district receives funding from the state based on the number of students enrolled in the Free and Reduced Lunch Program. Please return the form to your school office.

This process is highly confidential and this information is not shared with others. The building principal is directly responsible for making the initial determination. The forms are then sent to the school nutrition office to be processed by a confidential secretary.

We are always working with administrators, students, and you to gain insight on how we can enhance our services Please feel free to contact us at any time at 508-876-0193 opt. #4.
