Summer Work

Incoming 6th Graders - Assignments due September 6th
English - Students were given a copy of one of the books, Schooled, Slacker, Restart, or Ungifted, a bookmark made by the BMR student printshop, and the reading log.  As the book is read, students should be completing their reading log of five quotes. Click here to download a copy.   
 
Math - Students were given a copy of the math packet to complete.  Click here to download a copy.
 
Incoming 7th Graders - Assignments due September 6th
English - Students have a choice to read one of the following selections:  Esperanza Rising, Chains, or Refugee. While reading the book, students should complete the think along activity. Click here to download a copy.  Limited copies of the books are available at the school's main office as well as the Blackstone Public Library.

Incoming 8th Graders - Assignments due September 6th

Free Summer Learning Opportunities 
Highland Street Fun Free Fridays -  They offer visitors no-cost admission to many of the most treasured cultural venues in Massachusetts. This program was created to increase access and enrichment opportunities for children and families throughout Massachusetts during the summer months. Every Friday, from the end of June through the end of August, multiple sites are open for free. Click here for the listing of venues.
