Important Lines of Latitude

                   Hello. Today I am going to be telling you about some important lines of latitude.  There are seven lines all together.  If you are doing a project or a report then this is the perfect place to get your information for it.  The reason is that it is all here.  So, I hope you are excited to get ready to learn about important lines of latitude!!      

 

·        The most important line of latitude is the equator which is labeled 0°

 

·        The North Pole is labeled 90°N which is located in the Arctic Circle (66 ½ °N)

 

·        The Tropic of Cancer is labeled 23 ½ °N

 

·        Equator is the line of latitude labeled 0° that separates the northern hemisphere and the southern  hemisphere  

 

·        Next is the Tropic of Capricorn at 23 ½°S

 

·        Antarctic Circle is labeled 66 ½ °S

 

·        Then the South Pole is at the bottom of the Earth, which is labeled 90°S
