There are seven continents: North
America, South America, Antarctica,
Africa, Asia, Europe,
and Australia.
We live on North America. The coldest continent is Antarctica.
The two warmest are probably South America and Africa
because the equator runs through them. Some children may think that there are
only six continents. They may think that because it looks like Europe
is part of Asia. Most of South
America, Australia,
Antarctica, and Africa are all
below the equator. North America, most of Asia, and Europe
are all above the equator. North America has great
climate and weather. I don’t know about the other continents’ climates because
I have never been there. All I know is that the areas closest to the equator
are probably the warmest. The lowest temperature in Antarctica
is -129˚F. The continent with cold temperatures all year is Antarctica.
The highest temperature ever recorded is 59˚F. The average summer
temperature is 20˚F.The average winter temperature is-30˚F. Those
were all the seven continents along with there climates and where they are
located. By: Priscilla DaCosta
