This page is about wicked cool poems. I
will write diamante poems, pyramid poems, and quatrain poems.
The first poem I will tell you about is a
pyramid poem. A pyramid poem is a poem that is shaped like a pyramid. On the
first line you write a subject. On the next line you write two adjectives about
the subject. On the next line you write three words ending in ing. On the last
line you write a phrase or sentence. Here
is an example:

Fun, joyful
Laughing, playing, ripping
Kids ripping open presents, so fun!
The next poem I
will tell you about is a quatrain poem. In a quatrain poem the first line
rhymes with the second line and the third line rhymes with the fourth line.
Here is an example:

Baseball is very
fun
When you’re in
the sun
When you play in
the rain
Get ready for
some pain
The last poem I will tell you about is
a diamante poem. In a diamante poem it is shaped like a diamond. You do every
thing the same that you do in a pyramid poem but one subject is on the top and
the other is on the bottom. Here is an example:

Delicious, plump
Eating, chewing, chomping
It’s so delicious, mmmmmm!
Munching, ripping, smelling
Fat, yummy
