Everyday Poetry

In our world, there are all kinds of poetry. People sometimes are even writing poetry, and they don’t even know it. There are a lot of different types of poems. There are odes which are poems when each line doesn’t rhyme, there are haikus which is a poem about nature and only has there lines, the first line has 5 syllables, the second line has 7 syllables, and the last line has 5 syllables. There are diamantes which are poems shaped like diamonds. There are also poems when which you have a shape, the poem goes around the figure. For example, if you had a picture of an apple, you could put the poem around the apple. There are also pyramid poems that are poems shaped like pyramids, there are rhyming poems, and acrostic poems. There are several others also.

  Butterfly                           (Pyramid Poem)

A caterpillar                                                      Candy

Made a cocoon for itself                                Sweet, tasty,

Now a butterfly                                  Chewing, Crunching, Tasting

They say it causes cavities. Why do we eat it?
