Adding Borders and Horizontal Lines
in Microsoft Word
After typing in all of the text in the document, click anywhere on the text and then click on Format, Borders and Shading. Click the Page Border tab where the current Setting will probably be “None”. If you click on one of the choices in the Setting column on the left, you will see the preview on the right change to reflect your choice. You can click on the sides of the border in the Preview to eliminate them or to change them. You may also add a horizontal line (separator/divider) by clicking on the Horizontal Line button at the bottom of the window. There are numerous styles of lines to choose from.
