The calculations are in for the third annual "Miles Walked"
for Mrs. Warren's fourth grade class. Being housed a distance from the A.F.
Maloney School has given them the opportunity to get a lot of exercise as
they walk to and from daily classes. This year's total miles walked reached
138.7 miles. This distance translates to a trip starting at 200 Lincoln
Street and walking to Springfield, MA and back again. If we could walk across
the water we would have traveled to Block Island and Back again to Blackstone.
Starting at Blackstone, 138.7 miles brought us to Albany, New York or if
we traveled north, we would make it to Ossippee, N.H.
The students always enjoy this activity and they are amazed at just how
far our daily routine travels take us.
