Students performing surgery at BMR? Not yet anyway but some may be thinking about a career in surgery after listening to a very impressive program on medical careers by Jo-Ann Fielding of the New England Institute of Technology. On February 23, Mrs. Fielding visited Mrs. Ellie Conrad's Anatomy and Physiology classes and discussed the three medical programs offered at the NE Tech These 18-month programs lead to associate degrees in Administrative Assistant Medical Technology, Surgical Technology, and Occupational Therapy Assistant Technology.

Mrs. Fielding presented a brief overview of the occupational descriptions, employment characteristics, and career opportunities of each career path. She also displayed some of the latest mobile computerized medical equipment and surgical tools. Student volunteers had the opportunity to model the very latest fashions in surgical attire.
