ACTIVE FUNDRAISERS

CALENDER RAFFLE
It's that time of year again!!! February 2006 calendars for the raffle will begin being distributed to band students in the high school and middle school in November. Packets will be given to each student containing 10 calendars as well as a sheet outlining directions, due dates, etc.

The Calendar Raffle will be held each day of the week during February 2006. Each day, except Fridays, a $50 prize will be drawn. On Fridays, a $100 winner will be drawn, and on February 28, 2006, the $500 grand prizewinner will be announced! Each person purchasing a calendar will be eligible to win prize money.

This is a profit sharing fundraiser. Fifty percent of each calendar sold ($5) will be deposited directly into that student's profit sharing account. Did you know that any money in a student's profit sharing account can be used towards any band trip, band activity or private lessons? Last year's raffle earned students a total of more than $10,000!!!

Elementary school band students are invited to participate in this fundraiser; however, parents will be responsible for contacting a committee member to obtain calendars. They will also be responsible for returning any money and unsold calendars to a committee member.

Remember calendars make great holiday presents for those hard to buy for family and friends!

CONCESSION SALES AT GILLETTE STADIUM
Help and Have Fun at Gillette Stadium! Come help out and have fun too, along with many other parents who have already signed up to work selling concessions at the new Gillette Stadium. This is a way to help support the Music Association. We have worked a World Cup soccer game in May and a Rock concert in June and all of the Patriot's home games. All parents who have any children in the music program are encouraged to come and help out for a Patriots game. Much fun and camaraderie is created during the hours spent helping, which makes the time fly by quickly. More parents are needed for the final football games at this State- of- the- Art facility.

The Music Association makes a nice profit from these games, which in turn benefits ALL music
students. Don¹t make a few do the work for all. Please come help out! You¹ll have fun doing it. Call Jill at 883-0287 or email her at cocrke@msn.com.
