BMR School District Hosts Job Fair

BLACKSTONE….The Blackstone-Millville Regional School District held a job fair in a first step to recruit administrators, principals, and faculty to fill anticipated vacancies.   The event attracted candidates for a variety of positions according to district Superintendent Everett B. Campbell.  “We have hosted this type of session in the past and believe it to be a great way to start the recruitment process” Campbell said. “Potential employees see the district and meet our administrators.  It gives us a chance to meet candidates prior to the formal interviews” agreed Dr. Kathleen A. Montagano, Assistant Superintendent.   Those sentiments were shared with 31 year system veteran Bradford A. Monroe, district director of technology who stated “these events are a great opportunity to gauge the candidate pool.  Year after year, BMR attracts consistently high quality people, including career changers who bring life experience as well as academic credentials into the faculty mix.”   School principals and district administrators met with potentials employees during the three-hour long event. Among the positions posted are: district wide curriculum coordinator, high school business, English, math and Spanish teachers; elementary level art, and reading teachers; and throughout the system school nurses, special needs, English as second language and permanent substitute teachers.   More information is available on the district’s website: www.bmrsd.net or by calling Dr. Montagano at 508-876-0137.Blackstone-Millville Regional School District consists of the towns of Blackstone and Millville in Worcester County Massachusetts.   Physically, it is located in the Blackstone River Valley, home of America’s Industrial Revolution.  The District serves the educational needs of students K-12 with resources in three elementary schools, a middle school and a high school.   For more information about us and links to both communities visit www.bmrsd.net.
