Welcome to Millville Elementary School and thank you for taking the time to explore our new website. Millville Elementary School is a sprawling two storied elementary school housing Grades Preschool - 5. Our elementary school has 26 classrooms with an enrollment of approximately 300 students from diverse backgrounds. It is the mission of the school to help students: communicate effectively, think analytically, and to make smart choices. Millville Elementary School is committed to creating a community of life-long learners. We want students to be RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE and READY to learn when they come to Millville Elementary School on a daily basis.

Our faculty and staff work hard to make Millville Elementary School a great place to be in the Town of Millville. We strongly support the need to educate the “whole child.” Our incredibly dedicated faculty/staff works diligently to ensure that each child meets his or her full potential. Our goal at Millville Elementary School is to provide students with an excellent standards based curriculum, keeping in mind that all students do not learn at the same pace or in the same way, offering support to help them reach those standards. In addition, we believe that an educational program is not complete without art, music, technology, library, physical education and health. In Grade 5, students are offered band where they can learn how to play a band instrument through lessons given.

Here at Millville Elementary School, we place strong emphasis on reading, writing, and math skills which are important to the success of our students. Therefore, our students are provided research based reading approaches, such as guided reading practices and small group instruction that align with the Massachusetts Core Standards. All programs offer support for struggling learners and enrichment to advanced students. Response to Intervention (RtI) is built into the teaching schedules to address these students’ needs.

We believe in open communication between home and school. We welcome and value parental involvement as an integral part of our school community. We are fortunate to have a very active Parent Teacher Association in our community working along with and supporting the school and district initiatives. Our volunteers help to make our school a nurturing environment for learning. Our PTA is known as the Millville Elementary School Parent Association (MESPA) and meets on the first Monday of each month throughout the school year from 7:00pm – 8:30pm in the Principal Conference Room.
