Description

This course begins with French Impressionism in 1850 to current art topics of the 1990s. Students will work from a textbook, from slide lectures and from video. Upon completion of this course, students will:

• Create one work in the medium of their choice per artist/period covered
  
• Develop an ability to recognize works by individual artists
  
• Be able to give a historical and critical analysis of a variety of artistic styles
