Students
were first asked to research a Primitive Culture and select a Primitive Sculpture.
Their research began utilizing texts and periodicals. Next they researched on-line.
Once their sculptural selection was made they were to secure approval of their
choice from the instructor.
Handbuilding
Upon completion of basic orientation and demonstration, students begin their
construction. They may use the slab, coil and pinch handbuilding techniques
separately or in combination.
