BMR IN THE KNOW - COMMUNITY

BMRSD COVID-19 HANDBOOK

Good Evening Parents, Guardians, and Students

We are excited to be welcoming a majority of our hybrid students to full in-person learning.  It has been a long time coming and we are eager to see our campus full of students.  Our main priority continues to be the safety and well-being of our students and staff.  We ask that you review the COVID Handbook and remind your children to follow all safety protocols.  Please also take a look at the information laid out below.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

FULL IN-PERSON DATES:

April 12th - All Freshmen and Seniors who confirmed full in-person learning will be in the building.

April 26th - All Sophomores and Juniors who confirmed full in-person learning will be in the building.

HYBRID STUDENTS CHOOSING TO GO FULLY REMOTE:

April 12th - Students will begin full online learning.  New schedules have been given to students by their counselor.

FULL REMOTE STUDENTS:

No change in schedule or teachers has occurred. The administration will review in May if there are opportunities for full remote students to transition back to in-person learning (if requested).

COVID 19 PROTOCOLS:

In this email a link to the district COVID19 protocol handbook that is updated as needed with new state guidelines. We will continue with all these protocols until the end of the year.

The COVID19 checklist remains in effect. If your child has any symptoms on the checklist, we ask that they remain home and you give the school a call. It is with this due diligence that we can maintain limited effects on those attending in person.

TRANSPORTATION (PICKUP AND DROPOFF):

The high school will continue with its morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up routine.  Students taking the bus will be dropped off in front of the building.  Students who are dropped off/picked up will continue in the back lot.  Students who are driving will continue to park in the side lot.

ATTENDANCE AND COURSE PARTICIPATION:

Students at Blackstone-Millville Regional Senior High School are required to be present at all scheduled classes.  Students who are absent from a class 4 OR MORE TIMES IN A QUARTERLY MARKING PERIOD will not pass for the quarter unless they make up the absence in our RESTORATIVE HOUR PERIOD (after school).

Students who are absent from in-person learning will not be provided an opportunity to live stream into class.  Students will be marked absent and will need to log in to their Google Classroom for an update of missing work assignments.

Students who are absent from a regular class for more than ½ the period will receive an absence for that period. The 4th quarter begins on April 13th.
