PROMISING PRACTICES IN EDUCATION AWARD
BLACKSTONE VALLEY CONSORTIUM

Each year, outstanding teachers in each of the 12 towns that make up the Blackstone Valley Superintendent’s Collaborative are nominated by administration to receive the Promising Practices in Education Award. This award was established to celebrate and promote creative and innovative teaching practices that inspire students to stretch and grow academically, and inspire other teachers to stretch and grow professionally.

Teachers are honored at a breakfast at the historic Asa Waters Mansion in Millbury. Teachers also write up a lesson plan describing their best practice, which is included in a booklet of exemplary practices. These lesson plans are made available as a resource for teachers throughout the Blackstone Valley.
