Probability
Basic movement skills are presented to all students as they increase their awareness of eye-hand coordination. Students are introduced to the organization of games and rules of fair play.
All students are provided instruction in personal health, functions of bones and muscles and the five senses. Instruction in good nutrition, healthy food choices, germs and diseases is provided along with rules of safety and injury prevention.
Students continue to practice previous skills while learning repeated patterns, long and short sounds, repeated movements and instrumental families. Musical themes will integrate patriotic, holiday, seasonal, folk tale, and multicultural songs.
Students will learn art related vocabulary while continuing an exposure to the elements of design. They will also learn about shape and form with a concept of pattern and symmetry along with an improvement of motor skills and manipulation of materials.
Students study various types of literature, such as fairy tales and folk tales. Students learn about various parts of a book.
