Dear Families,
This morning, a delay was called due to a situation identified at Millville Elementary School. We understand that the timing of this announcement was not ideal, and we sincerely appreciate your patience as we worked to gather accurate information and communicate with families as quickly as possible.
Earlier this morning, a propane odor was detected outside of the building. The District immediately contacted our utility provider as well as the Blackstone Fire Department and the Millville Fire Department. The situation was promptly assessed and addressed by emergency personnel and the utility company.
Following their assessment, it was determined that the building was safe for our students and staff.
Please know that student and staff safety remains our highest priority. We will always respond immediately to any situation involving the safety of our school community.
