I am incredibly excited and honored to step into the role of Interim Superintendent for the Blackstone-Millville Regional School District!
As a lifelong educator, my career has been dedicated to supporting teaching excellence and ensuring every student has a clear pathway to success. Throughout my journey—serving as a teacher, high school principal, a city superintendent, an interim superintendent, and an interim executive director for a regional educational collaborative—I have learned that the strongest schools are built on transparency, active listening, trust, and deep community partnership.
An interim period is a unique opportunity to provide continued stability, listen closely to the community's needs, and ensure our schools are set up for success from day one of a fantastic upcoming school year. I look forward to meeting our dedicated staff, families, and community members in both Blackstone and Millville. Together, we will keep that positive momentum moving forward!

Thank you to Selectmen Gino Olaes and Dan Keefe, Parks and Recreation Director Celeste Langlois, Sergeant Hurwitz and Officer Savoi, and Officer Greene of the Blackstone Police Department, Chief Kevin Roy and Deputy Chief Brian Gartland of the Blackstone Fire Department for taking the time to speak with our FWH Middle School students about staying safe this summer. We appreciate our community partners for helping to educate and support our students both in and out of school.

One of the many things that makes the BMRSD community so special is the way we come together to support one another. During challenging times, we are reminded not only of the strength of our school community, but also of the incredible kindness and compassion of the larger community that surrounds us. A heartfelt thank you to all of Captain's comfort dog friends and their officers for supporting our Millville Elementary School community today. Your kindness and support were greatly appreciated.
Our 6th and 7th grade bands played their hearts out last night and delivered wonderful performances!
IMPORTANT - ROAD CLOSURE AND DETOURS
MONDAY JUNE 1 AND TUESDAY JUNE 2
Starting at 6:00 a.m. and expected to end late both days
Millville - Lincoln Street will be closed from Thayer to Chestnut Hill Road
Detour notices will be available on the Millville Police Department digital sign, Facebook page, and the Highway Department page.
The bus company has identified bus stops/students impacted. Those families will receive an email and call from their child’s school.
We do anticipate some delays as the buses do need to make some route adjustments to address the road closure.
