Thank you for taking the few minutes to give us your input on the current school calendar.
I attached the results here for you to review. As you will see, there is overwhelming support for moving the makeup early release day to next Friday, April 7th. As such, we are going to move forward with that plan. That will make the last day of school Friday, June 16th (which will also be an early release as the last day of school always is.)
The early release day dismissal schedule is as follows:
MES: 11:40am
Complex: 11:30am
FWHMS: 10:50am
BMRHS:10:35am
If your child/children cannot make it due to prior scheduled plans, please reach out to the appropriate principal and she will work with you. We are more than happy to help.
A few questions were asked on the survey. Kindly find the responses below:
-The early release times are posted above
-Yes, seniors need to be in school on 4/7
-The last day of school will be on Friday, June 16th and it is an early release
-We understand there is a dance the night before (on 4/6) for the elementary students - it is an early release day on 4/7 so hopefully being out a bit late will not impact them too greatly as it is a shortened day
-The PK schedule on 4/7 will be AM session only with no PM session (same as all early release days)
-This will not impact Grade 5 graduation
-We cannot combine the two early release days (the one on April 7th and June 16th) into one full day as we have to meet the 180 school day requirement per the state
Thanks so much. I know this might be an inconvenience for some, but when June rolls around folks will be pleased with this collective decision.
